End of an Era

After over 27 months I have stepped down from the OC swing team. It's been a great experience and I credit it for turning me into the dancer I am today. I have reached the point in my dancing where the team wasn't helping me progress all that much anymore. Since the reason I joined in the first place was to become a better dancer, I decided it was time for me to do something different. I'm looking to put together a group of people that want to get together on a semi-regular basis to work on their dancing. There would be no choreography, no performances, just dancing and helping each other out. There are several other team members who are in the same situation as me, as well as some others, so it looks like we're going to be able to get a good group of people together.

I went to my last practice last Monday, and yesterday was our final gig, a performance for the charity group Pathways to Hope. The are connected to City of Hope Cancer Research. They act as the support staff at cancer fund raisers, such as the Dance-A-Thon. We took some pictures afterward as for 4 of us, it was out last time with the team.
