Birthday Hike

Wednesday was Collyn's Birthday and she wanted to take a hike. One of the things I really like about southern Orange County, is that due to the hills and canyons there are some wilderness preserve areas that have been set aside. They are largely surrounded by development, so you're not really getting away, but it makes for a nice walk/hike through some of the native environment. The map below shows our route. The green areas are all protected areas with various hiking trails. Our route wasn't through a protected area, but it was still native habitat. As a bonus, there was a small lake that I didn't know existed until we went looking for a nice hike.

Tell Collyn late Happy Birthday. Just where were you hiking? It looked nice.

I roughly outlined our route on the map. It's a loop that sits between laguna canyon rd, el toro, and the 73 toll road.
