I had an interesting experience this morning. I woke up from an odd dream to find myself sitting on the sidelines of the soccer field while me team played. I could remember who I was, where I was, that it was Sunday and I had a game, but that was about it. My head hurt and I felt weak and woozy. I was told I hit my head. Some paramedics arrived a few minutes later. They checked me over and decided to take me to the hospital, which I felt was very appropriate. I was conscious and lucid but couldn't remember much from this morning. During my ambulance ride my memory came back.
Just a few minutes into this morning's game the other team sent a through ball down my sideline. Their striker had a lead on me but was slow. I chased him down and as I caught him a twisted my body to kick the ball out of bound sideways rather than give up a corner kick. At that exact moment the striker did was so many strikers do, which ticks me off. He decided to step sideways into me and body check me away from the ball. Because of my momentum and being balanced on only my left the body check sent me flying backward. I still don't remember anything else. My teammates told me what happened. Evidently I leveled off in the air and slammed backward into the ground on my back and head. I didn't lose consciousness and was able to respond but my eyes weren't focusing. I was able to walk off the field with help but they decided to call the ambulance since I I still seemed out of it. I threw up after they transferred me from the gurney as the motion made me really dizzy. I was diagnosed with a concussion, but there isn't any swelling or bleeding, so I was released. I am sitting at home recovering. The headache and dizziness are slowly decreasing, but I still plan on taking tomorrow off from work and have arranged a sub. With the exception off the 10 minutes or so directly following the injury my memory is all back and clear. Hopefully I'll recover fully within a day so I can get back to work on Tuesday, although I probably won't be playing soccer for a few weeks.

Not sure you are totally back, considering the number of typing errors. Or is that just your hunt and peck?
Scary. Glad you are okay and not worse off than you are. Must have been a bazaar experience.
Warren,
I hope you're feeling better. That had to be somewhat of an odd experience.
And, while we're on the subject of typos:
Bizarre: Crazy, odd, out of the ordinary.
Bazaar: Craft fair attended by a bunch of old ladies.
(Thanks for the good laugh, Brenda)
Hay, you should no bye now that I'm knot a good speller. :-)
