After getting snow earlier in the week, the weather warmed up this weekend. Fingers crossed, but I think winter might be over. We took the opportunity to get some yard work done. We ordered a bunch of plants, and got a few more from some friends. I didn't take pictures of everything, because at this point most of what we planted just looks like little twiggy things. We planted 6 blackberries, a blueberry bush, a lilac bush, 2 bridal veil bushes with 2 more still to go in, a crepe myrtle sucker that may or may not develop, and a dwarf fruit orchard consisting of: 2 cherry trees, 2 apricot trees, 2 plum trees, and a peach tree. It's completely unimpressive right now, but in 5 years or so it should be looking great.

| Check out that sweet orchard. Now we just have to keep it alive for 2-5 years until we get fruit. |
| This is the lilac bush. We're going to grow it in the pot for a while and then transplant it between the upper garden bed and the log stepping path. |
| I'm in the process of placing stump rounds as stepping stone. This is leading into the backyard |
| This leads from the covered patio onto the brick patio. Ignore the cardboard on the left. We're smothering out a little grass to complete the space for the herb garden. |
| Finally found a use for the drainage rock that came out when we put a brick border around the patio. This is between the raised beds for our vegetable garden. |

I'm so jealous of your backyard. I hope to one day have a house with a back yard that gets some sun so I can grow more. You are going to have a wonderful crop when things get going.
Things are looking great!
