Tulips out front
The patio bushes are growing and blooming
The orchard trees have leaves at least. We killed the grass and sowed alternative lawn seeds.
Collyn planted marigolds as companions to the tomatoes
The pink azaleas were the last to bloom
We added a little more out front. Eventually we'll landscape both sides of the path.
Cut from our wood pile
The herb garden has some herbs growing
We're slowly adding plants in the back corner along the fences
We've been eating lettuce and radishes out of the garden. There are some peas coming on.
Finally landscaped the mound in the back and planted a lilac
The front bed has plenty of wildflowers growing. The daffodils have bloomed and gone
The red azalea had some spindly arms, so I pruned them and brought the blooms in.

It's looking so beautiful! I can't believe how far ahead of us you are. Our weather has been really cold until just this last couple of weeks. We are also really dry this year so we've had to start watering early. The kids and I spent the day planting most of the garden, putting flowers in our pots and planting a flower bed out front. Now I'm going to have to water like crazy so everything will grow. Sometimes I think it would be wonderful to live where it is a little more humid, just so I wouldn't spend so much time hauling hoses. :) Keep the photo's coming as the season progresses. It's so fun to be able to see your place and all the work you are doing on it.
It all looks so good. You have done a ton in less than a year. I'm jealous of your garden. I have nothing growing yet (I only planted on Monday). I missed the early things this year because the family was too busy. Thanks for sharing the pictures. It is fun to see beautiful yards.
