Puget Sound in the summer

We just got back from visiting Collyn's sisters.  One is on Vashon, and the other in Bellingham.  We also got a chance to have lunch with Shawn, Suzanne, Keith, and Julie.  The weather was just about perfect.  They, like most of the west, are in a drought, but there was some rain while we were there.  Luckily, it came through at night.

We hung out at a beach.

Did some bowling

Went to an overnight farm party, where we got rained on at night but stayed dry in our tent.

Picked up some oysters before heading out to do some crabbing

where we hung out on a teeny rock island a few hundred feet out into the bay.

Did some kayaking

and then headed back to shore after eating the crab and some speared fish cooked over a camp stove

We hiked up to Artist's Point in the Mt. Baker Wilderness area, where we hung out in the clouds

before heading back below the clouds for lunch and some more hiking

We made it out dancing a couple of nights as well, ate lots of raspberries, wild blackberries, wild blueberries, and seafood, and had a great time.
