Amy's back in town and as a result I haven't been getting home until late most nights. And when I do get home earlier I tend to forget to update. So I'm sitting in AP Physics with the kids taking a test and thought I'd throw down a few sentences.
Soccer ended last week but I've been busy writing and grading in preparation for next week being off for mid-winter break. The freshman parents are continuing to be such an absolute nightmare that I really don't know if I'm going to sign a contract for next year. While we have the complete backing and support of the administration, the simple fact that it is still going on leads me to not want this to be a part of my life. My thinking is that it's a lot more difficult for them to find another Physics teacher than it is for me to find another school looking for one where I won't have to deal with a mob of parents who's only goal seems to be trying to get us to just give their kids As so they can get into a good college. I don't want to deal with people who think that is the only point of a high school education.
