Problem Solver Strike

I have been inspired by the recent writer's strike here in Southern California. For those of you who don't know, the Writer's Guild is on strike in order to put pressure on the studios to renegotiate the residuals for internet distributed media. Basically, the studio classify this type of distribution and "promotional" and the writer's don't earn money from it. What people are quickly learning is that since writing is difficult, you can't just get scabs. As a result of the strike, new show production is shut down and TV is rapidly devolving into reruns. Millions of dollars are being lost and tens of thousands of people are out of work. So basically, a group that is largely taken for granted is showing they play a much larger role than people typically give them credit for.

It's my impression that a lot of people in a lot of different walks of life, do a lot of work to solve the problems of others and other groups, and are largely taken for granted. So my proposal is that all of those people go on strike. If you're like me, and you're tired of solving the problems of someone else's creation, without the people who ultimately benefit even realizing or caring that the work is being done, just stop. Use your energy for either getting far away or under shelter so when the crap it's the fan, you come out unscathed. Is leaving others to reap the seeds of their own sowing selfish? I say no, and as of now, I'm on strike from solving the problems of others' creation.
