Amy flies out to California.
I pick her up and we do various California things like going to the beach, which was not a smart idea because it had rained a day earlier.
Amy starts feeling sick and woozy and doesn't get to properly enjoy riding on a motorcycle. I think she picked up a bacterial infection from the ocean.
We drive out to Utah.
It snows like crazy and then gets really cold. Amy has what appears to be a bad cold. I blame the ocean.
We spend a lot of time indoors. I blame the cold and the ocean, as Amy is still sick. There are several battles of SkipBo.
We go to the gym in a vain effort to dispose of rapidly accumulating holiday calories.
We nearly freeze to death welcoming in the New Year outside.
We go ice skating.
I drive home, setting a personal marathon driving record by making it 700+ miles from SLC to Dana Point in just over 10 hours, driving solo with only one 4 minute stop in St. George to gas up just as the snow finished melting off my car. No food breaks, no bathroom breaks, and my only consumption of food or water being 200ml of diet Mt. Dew.
