When it rains, it pours.

No, this isn't about the crazy rain we had last week. It's about a million things that happen all at one. I knew when Collyn and I set a wedding date that it would be challenging with only 3 and a half months. I knew doing it during soccer season would make it even more challenging. I knew that it would cost a significant amount of money, even if we had a low key casual affair. Here's what I didn't know:

I didn't know that the long day of travel for skiing would leave me with a persistent feeling of dizziness and disconnectedness that flares up on an almost daily basis, leaving me feeling tired, lethargic, woozy and a little ill. It's been better the last couple days and I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow. This is not a great thing to have going on while trying to cope with everything else going on, such as...

I didn't know that I would have a massive toothache hit me suddenly, resulting in trying to schedule and make several dental visits to fix a host of problems, many of which were the indirect consequence of previous dental work. It's also not cheap.

I didn't know that Amun would come down with an acute bladder/kidney infection leaving him vomiting and peeing blood. This of course required several trips to the vet to be re-hydrated and shot full of antibiotics (Collyn has my full gratitude here for basically taking care of this situation for me while I was at work) and a rather expensive vet bill. He's fine now and we have a follow-up to check his numbers tomorrow. This was, of course, not cheap.

Thankfully I have been frugal with money, so despite running a huge monthly deficit for January and February I've got the money on hand to cover everything. I'm just glad 2009 was a good year for my investments, and I'm crossing my fingers for 2010.

Now if I could just finish up the rest of the wedding stuff.

Definately not a fun sounding month. The dizziness and tooth problems sound awful and poor Ahman being sick too! You are going to need a major vacation when this is all over. On the bright side I have to say, a woman who is willing to deal with your cat vomiting and peeing blood, well...she must REALLY love you. I hope things get better quick!

Oh my Warren. Please keep us posted on your doctor appointments. Is your dental stuff taken care of? We can't wait to see you next week and meet Collyn.
