Several students at our school decided to do no-shave November, where you don't shave for a month. I decided to join them. For the month of November I grew out a beard, although I did shave my neck, so technically I didn't follow the rules. The end of November left me with plenty of facial hair to play around with. My original plan was to shave it into a face shelf, but I inadvertently started with the shaver at my side burn, wrecking it. So instead I did kind of a cross between Frank Zappa and a Van Dyke. It was a big hit with the male students at school. Several people thought it had appeared over night, as they hadn't consciously realized I had a beard, which is still quite red as compared to my hair.
This morning I moved on to another iteration, shaving the chin beard and trimming the mustache which is now a modest a handlebar. I'll keep it for a week or so, (and maybe actually take some photos) and then likely shave it. Collyn's father and stepfather both had mustaches when she was young, so she is finding it fun as well.
Given the personality that can be embodied in facial hair, it's a shame it's just not more popular. I blame the dirty hippies for ruining it.

Pictures!!!! You should have posted pictures of all of this. It would have been fun to see. I don't think I've ever seen you with facial hair. It would have been fun. Make sure you take the other pictures and post them.
