It seems there is a new graduation tradition that has formed over the last couple of years. It typically starts out the day after and last for a week or so. I call it "facebook friend request your ex-teachers" or in language of the youths, FFRYET.
I find it odd and sweet at the same time. And then, two weeks after getting to college they've added so many friends you drop off the radar, which is just fine.

One of the joys of being a teacher, and possibly a great teacher. I doubt that they want to FB teachers they didn't like.
